After a brief moment of struggle and panic, your most base fight-or-flight reflexes dull with the discovery that not only can you breathe in this sticky crimson abductor - if it can indeed be called that - but that it actually doesn't taste half bad when you try to consume it. It's kind of cherry-flavored.

Of course it is slimy and sticky and your outfit is ruined and you are covered in gel and being dragged Gog knows where.

The only solution is to find your nearest fellow captive and complain vigorously.*

A fair point. If nothing else this construct seems to have a cruel sense of humor all its own. *Pairing them like this. Close enough to reach out and touch, even.*

However if I start to feel a burning, stinging, or otherwise dissolving sensation you will be the first to know.

I'd like to be able to say the same, but to be honest my other things mainly involve not being ensconced in a cherry gelatin creature.

And could you have perhaps chosen a slightly less grisly turn of phrase? *But still, she starts. Taking little bites.*

I had the intention to see how easy is to obtain sewing materials here. I don't expect much but if I know of someone who wouldn't mind the walk I suppose that is you.

[She snickers a little, although she purposely looks away.]

How would you have phrased it then?

I would have phrased it in a manner that did not immediately evoke the sensation of being in a creature's viscera.

I always endeavor to be thought dependable in matters of fashion, monstrous gelatin entrapment, and struggles of life and death.

How can you be sure? Perhaps this is how it consumes.

[And after some time ripping apart parts of the stuff ecasing her, Rose's hand manages to get out. Now it's just a matter of making a hole big enough for her. No big deal.]

That seems doable. And I am going to ignore any further comments on the matte--

*Naturally, just as she's wriggling up to help Rose claw her way out, the blob shifts in its journey, pressing the two of them together none too gently.

Kanaya gives an undignified sound that seems akin to "oof"*

[Suddenly Rose's head is in Kanaya's chest. This is not subtlet at all. Using her forehead to allow some space for the rest of her face. Rose tries to at least rotate away, but to no avail.]

I apologize. Apparently I can't really move. Maybe you can still see the hole?

[...is that her knee touching the other girl's?]

*Oh gog. Oh gog this is so not what Kanaya wanted, Rose's face mashed into her chest and her own cheeks burning as body is pushed uncomfortably tight against body.

Kanaya squirms where she is, trying to make space between the two of them. She uses her superior height to reach up - her hand breaching out to fresh air.* Y-yes, I can. I can reach it, still, despite. Circumstances.

[Compared to before, Rose can't really complain. Apparently Kanaya smells nicer than she had thought? If one considers she puts a lot of effort to her appearance it's only obvious. If she weren't covered in red goo she would even allow herself to enjoy her NO WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HER THS IS WRONG.]

Good...do try to...pull us over there. I-I can't really think clearly right now.

I. Well, no, I can't really blame you, and I apologize profusely for this unseemly situation, but-- well, it's difficult, and...

*...and now she manages to pull and get some leverage, and with a POP--

--they tumble out onto the nearest lawn.*

[Rose doesn't really feel like there is anything else to be said about it. She's too distracted by Kanaya's heartbeat to instantly react anyway.

And then they are out. And she's still face first on her chest. Life is being unkind to her today. Rose quickly rolls away, face ridiculously red. Conflicting feelings, all of them.]

I hate jelly.

[chastesaw]

*And Kanaya rolls in the other direction, sitting up and looking away to try and hide the furious color on her cheeks. It's all the worse because it's red instead of the far more usual green, which she could at least pretend was xenophysiological.*

I'm not very fond of it right now myself.

[Rose is just going to sit very slowly. The fact Kanaya is also in full blush mode doesn't really help.]

I apologize. One shouldn't be lodging one's head in certain...importunate areas.

You hardly need to-- I mean, it obviously wasn't your fault, so you shouldn't feel obliged to apologize.

We really need to stop getting ourselves in such unsightly situations. Sooner or later it will speak poorly of our reputation, whatever it might be.

"Getting ourselves in such unsightly situations," Rose? *There's a little sharpness to her voice.* Are you referring to the incident with your dramatic growth, or something else entirely?

I honestly don't know what I'm talking about. I would simply like to be with you in a situation in which we both remain unchanged, goo free and without sudden death threats above our heads.
